A Wandering Soul

Fear is normal and needed for our survival.
Sometimes fear overwhelms us, even when there is no imminent danger. Like a deer facing the headlights on the highway, many humans stall in fear in some stressful situations.
This can be managed. It’s not easy, but possible.
Fear comes in waves, big and small. Next time you feel an overwhelming fear, notice the trembling, heavy breathing, or shaking in your body.
Put your hand on your chest and say to yourself, “I feel the fear. I am with myself”.
Stay with yourself for a few minutes; two minutes may be enough to feel calmer. You may need more than two minutes too, which is Ok.
Don’t question the fear. Don’t ask, “Why me? Why now?”
No questions, right now.
Just be with the fear. That’s all.
Once the fear begins to subside, you may not even need the answers to your questions. If you still need answers, explore the questions when you are calm and ready.
You may not be able to control everything that happens to you. But you can learn how you respond to it. That’s the key.
That’s living authentically.
Love you all.
